Welcome to Mendham High School and the Guidance Staff. I am a full time Guidance Counselor to students in grades 10 through 12. In the early part of the fall Guidance Counselors are busy correcting scheduling conflicts and overseeing the start of the college application process for the current senior class. Beginning in January, the Guidance Counselors become actively engaged in orientation and scheduling programs for 8th graders, scheduling meetings with sophomores and college planning meetings with juniors. In order to accommodate the number of counselees these appointments will take place over the course of three to four months. In addition, there are also one on one appointments taking place when problems or conflicts arise in personal and academic issues with a student. These appointments can sometimes involve, teachers, parents, administrators or special education services offered by our school. To make an appointment: Students will often stop by with a quick question during their lunchtime. If they need more time and less interruptions it is best to schedule an appointment. Students can leave me a note in my mailbox located in the Guidance Suite at the front counter. I will contact them once I find a good time in our mutual schedules. Parents may call and leave a phone message to request an appointment. |
