My Background:

I have a B. F. A. from Syracuse University and a Masters in Counseling from Seton Hall University.  I am a certified and licensed New Jersey Substance Abuse Counselor.  As Co-Chair of the Mendham Municipal Alliance, I have been involved in the Mendham-Chester community for many years.

My Responsibilities:

There are many worries we have about our children, no matter their age.  Sometimes we need to reach out to others for assistance, advice, intervention or outside referrals.

As Student Assistance Counselor, I am available for crisis counseling, concerns about a student’s substance abuse or risky behavior, family problems, intervention services, or referrals.

There are many ways to use my services.  You may call and we can discuss  your concerns, even anonymously.  I can talk to your child, with or without his or her knowledge of our contact.  I can facilitate an intervention with a teacher or a friend, or make a referral to the school’s Intervention and Referral Services team.  I have many contacts in the community and can refer you to the appropriate services, therapist or counselor.

I am protected under a federal confidentiality rule, which means that most of our conversations are kept in confidence.  I highly value this privilege of my position and will tell you if I feel others need to know.
