Mrs. Deborah Karczewski |

Mrs. Karczewski teaches both English and Drama. “Mrs. K.” has taught at West Morris Mendham High School for over twenty-four years. She far prefers phone calls to email, please. Mrs. K.. requires all English students and their parents to read and sign a packet summarizing her rules, procedures, and requirements; a sheet of writing rules; and her cheating policy. In addition on the first day of each week, Mrs. K. hands out a weekly calendar noting all homework details. If a student happens to be absent, he or she should call the “friend” whose phone number has been written on the title page of the English notebook. Therefore, answers to all general questions can be found in each student’s notebook. Students in Drama 1, 2, and 3 often work with partners. Rehearsal in these courses is as essential to Drama Class success as homework is to that in English classes. If a student is absent, he or she must contact his or her partner as soon as possible. Drama students also are given a syllabus with rules, procedures, and requirements. Mrs. Karczewski’s extra help periods and after- school options can be found in English notebooks and are announced often as well. Please feel free to contact her via the school’s voice mail or through the Guidance Department with any questions.
