INTRODUCTORY PIANO

Introductory Piano is a 2-1/2 credit music elective that teaches the beginning rudiments of piano performance, music reading and the use of sequencing computer software.  Different styles of music will be discussed and performed on the piano.  Students will work with the teacher and the computer to learn how to play the piano and how to record music using a sequencing program.

 

HOMEWORK

 

Students are not required to have a piano or electric keyboard at home, so home practice is not assigned.  If a student does own a piano at home, they can practice the assigned songs.

 

Students are required to study music reading worksheets for class quizzes.
